Despite its easy accessibility, the beach remains peaceful and uncrowded, though it can be affected by north winds.

- Rethymno Beach (12 km): Located just 500 meters east of the city center, Rethymno Beach is a long stretch of golden sand with shallow, clear waters. This beach is well-organized and close to all city amenities, offering numerous beach bars, restaurants, and cafes with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and changing rooms. Water sports facilities are also available, and the nearby boardwalk is perfect for a leisurely stroll by the sea, or for shopping and dining.

- Panormo Beach (10 km): This charming coastal village features three beautiful beaches. The first, located near the village harbor, is a small sandy beach with shallow waters, perfect for children. It’s also organized and sheltered from the wind. The second beach is larger, sandy, and offers sunbeds and umbrellas.
